Cordes Rêvent
We have explored the harp’s rich sonic potential since 2006, a journey deepened by our collaboration with Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber, whose refined writing shapes a dreamlike dialogue between harp and strings in Héliotrope and Renouée des oiseaux.
Alongside these works, we present a rediscovered trio by Henriette Renié, a pioneering figure who helped establish the harp as a solo instrument at a time when women composers were rarely recognized.
This album brings into perspective two remarkable women, two eras, and two singular artistic voices.

Taking detours, escaping labels, conceiving of music as an exchange.
Founded in 2006 by violinist Agnès Pyka, Des Équilibres distinguishes itself through its open approach to chamber music, building bridges between repertoires, aesthetics, and artistic disciplines. The ensemble explores both classical tradition and contemporary creation, favoring rare works and collaborations with today’s composers. Its flexible structure, ranging from solo to octet, allows it to undertake ambitious and original projects.
Deeply committed to creation, Des Équilibres commissions numerous works, particularly from French and international female composers, and leads several European projects such as Trans Europe Express, dedicated to women’s creative work. The ensemble regularly collaborates with artists from other disciplines (choreography, theatre, jazz, traditional music) and develops multidisciplinary stage projects. It benefits from numerous residencies and cultivates a community-based approach that includes outreach, educational programs, and socially conscious concerts.
Active on the international stage, the ensemble has performed on four continents and initiated numerous artistic collaborations in Portugal, Algeria, Turkey, and Israel. Its discography reflects its penchant for exploration, with several recordings acclaimed by the press (Diapason, Télérama, ICMA, Victoires de la Musique). Supported by the Île-de-France Region, Des Équilibres is now recognized as a leading force in contemporary and innovative chamber music.
